I got a book yesterday too.

"The Master Handbook Of Acoustics" by F. Alton Everest and Ken C. Pohlmann.

The library has a copy from which I have read and refered many times, but assholes keep tearing out pages in that copy.
I finally have my own.
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

There was no mail today, due to the bogus US holiday rule! ::)

Junk mail addressed to my father wanting him to get the New York Post.  Odd he has been dead about 9 years, never lived here and always got the Daily News not the Post

Are you Illinoians to receive a refund from state taxes?

I got my Indiana version about two weeks ago.
If they have five billion dollars in surplus state budget, they need to cut down taxing us a bit and send some of it back to the tax payers.

I don't get much political crap in the mail, but right now, you can not look in any direction without seeing twenty or so signs polluting the view literally everywhere.

One benefit of a HOA is that our neighborhood does not allow political signs to be posted in our yards or any signs except for those doing work on a house at the time of the work, but still only that with homeowners consent.

Just about everywhere else, FUCK! It's ugly.

^ I don't have a credit card bill now! I've paid it off and it's now in credit by about $70. It's a load off my mind. I'm no longer in debt.

I got a letter from the superannuation fund explaining their fees. They're still stuck on using my maiden name even though I sent them a copy of my marriage certificate.

We have been credit card bill free for over fifteen years, until I went to buy a mower a few months back.
I thought I was signing up for one of those "points cards" that gets you a discount on certain items, but I had put my new mower on credit.
I'm just going with it, but I think they did this kind of sneaky. It was only $700 but, I was prepared to pay with my debit card, straight out of my checking account.
They won't make any money off me, because the thing is one year free of interest. I'll pay the thing off with the next payment.

I don't know.
My daughter pays extra to have stuff she wants delivered to our door.
I have seen her order donuts and coffee from a grocery store to be delivered to the front door.

We have work to do!
