People keep asking me what I align myself as, such as what is my occupation, my political identity, and what I'm expecting to do with my life. All of this was quite personal... especially since I'm still trying to figure myself out.
For one thing, I'm someone with a international perspective... I don't think in just national boundaries within the United States, I think outside of it. Especially with my experience of traveling to places like Pakistan, South Africa, UK, and France. I may look like a big oaf who cleans the local Walmart, yet I'm far from it. I'm a blogger, a writer, artist, student, and a registered independent with socialist tendencies. All of this is what makes me who I am, all of it is because of my family's role in places like Pakistan, Congo, and South America.
Sure I question the role of authority, yet that doesn't mean I'm defying it, sure I have strange views... but that means I'm open to hear different perspectives without everything being a shoved down my throat.
So why I^2 of all places? Simple really.... I went through a misunderstanding regarding my moderating on AFF, and I sneaked into I^2 under the guise of Boris_Pettigrew to understand what was being said about me. Sure I was hesitant, and acting like a dumb shit part of the time... yet I grew out of it, and you guys accepted me for who I was. Even if I had ulterior motives almost 8 years ago.
The two forums I consider my hangout spots is AFN and I^2.
Because without all of you, I wouldn't of accepted my identity almost 10 years ago.
