Not only is Hungary going to ban gender studies but they're also passing legislation to keep George Soros from fucking their country up.

I was in Hungary for a few days in 2001 and again in 2002. I was living in a bordering country at the time. One of my colleagues was Polish-Australian and he reckoned that Budapest was the best city in Europe, and he had a point.

It was really good then. Everything cheap, especially food and beer and wine. And the food was REALLY good. Beautiful city. The second time I was there was in late Spring and the pollen count was ridiculous, it was the worst I have experienced and my sheila and I were both suffering. I normally don't even get allergies at all.

So there are probably worse places you could move to. You'll probably need to learn to speak Hungarian but. I think the closest language to Hungarian is Finnish? It's not a Slavic language or a Germanic language or a Romance language as far as I know. Back in 2001 and 2002 German was a more useful language to be able to speak than English (my sheila spoke German) but the younger generation is likely to have learned English as a second language (maybe).

I was in Hungary in 1996 as part of my deployment with IFOR.

We spent several weeks in the Tazar Air Force Base just outside of Kaposvar.

The Hungarian language is Finno-Ugric; It's an Indo-European language that's apparently unrelated to most other European languages.

There were several local women who worked on the base that I gladly would've taken home with me as Mrs. Scrapheap, the women there were fucking hawt!! It was no surprise to me why so many porn stars later on came from Hungary.

Oh, and I do speak broken German already.

It's the same group of languages but they're not very close to each other. I can't say I really understand the language but I suspect I'd be able to learn it fairly quickly.
