One recipe that's making the rounds of the internet is for pickled brussels sprouts.
Pickled okra is a good Southern thing.
I have never been able to understand the fascination with okra.
Like pickled okra, but can't think of anything pickled I don't like. Okra prepared any other way is a different story; never cared for it.
I'm the same way about pickled stuff...love it.
Might get brave and try it pickled some day.
First time I ever had okra I was down south at a buffet. Watched 3 people ahead of me just pile this stuff on their plates. Thought, well that's got to be good.
First bite...I was like how the hell do they eat this stuff?
Thought grits with eggs in the morning was a winner though.
