Since we survived the assassination of Kennedy and the ensuing Johnson era, I am fully convinced we will also survive the Trump administration.

BTW, has anyone ever thought much about what our government represents?

Native living Americans already had the government we sought. Massive council of sitting chiefs from many nations (Justices on constant watch). Representatives from all nations sitting to yelp for their own tribes' interests and fight to the death if necessary to make their vision of the future known to all. And then one really old guy who had come from the council of elders who kept anyone from having to fight to the death if he could help them, follow the laws that most had already agreed upon.

We just adapted their way of living and it fucking works!! The Algonquin and the Iroquois already had something like what it took white man two centuries to set down on paper. They did it all with knives and blood,
