But those are real words, not weird limey words that only weird limeys use.

But you're the one arguing that one of the spellings is actually wrong.  No one has even said anything about irregular verbs. I'm guessing ploughed would be the past tense form of the spelling, and if that true it wouldn't qualify as an irregular verb. Irregular verbs are words that don't use the usual ed ending in past tense, like go and went, come and came. I don't even know what you're trying to say anymore. Quit trying to make intellectual arguments about a valid spelling you just don't personally like.
