Photobucket has been having some issues over the last few months.

Many users have been complaining of being unable to upload and being stuck in an endless login loop and nothing has been done to solve the issue for months, not to mention there has been quite a bit of downtime.

If you have anything stored there that's important to you, you may want to back it up as a cautionary measure...I will be backing up anything I don't have already backed up asap and looking around (just in case).

Right now I'm just backing up to disc, and will be exploring other options.

They might fix the issues and it will be business as usual.

But...you just never know.

I read of how you can get around the log-in-loop to be able to upload. If you can get in to your Library in the first place, click on the upload button next to the top left of your images, not the one at the top of any pages, because otherwise you get the log-in screen again.

Yep not sure if I tried that one though...you can  also upload through the editor page...that's what I've been doing for the last couple months.

I havent uploaded anything in a week or two just tried got stuck in the loop.  Didn't know you could upload through editor thanks  that did work but uploaded the same photo three times     I don't keep anything I don't already have backed up there but sometimes its easier to find there.   Flickr works as a storage place but can be annoying at times

Seems like any image hosting site that becomes popular is destined to become shitty after a few years. Case in point imgur.

When you figure the storage requirements needed for something like that versus the income generated from ad revenue, prints/products, and a few upgraded accounts I would say it may have been profitable once upon a time...but now?

With every Wal-mart within 5 miles offering the same products for less plus same day prints and a lot of forums now turning into Facebook groups ...I'm surprised they've held up as long as then have actually. Many of the others are long gone.

It's not like I have anything of major importance though. I'm not sure 400+ smileys and all that random justifies all that.
