My fb post that night:
1) A girl argued with with me that I could not be a Dark Jedi Master, as there is no such thing and my red lightsaber meant I was a Sith. With all due respect: a) nobody should be judged solely by the color of their lightsaber; b) if you haven't read all the books, comic books, etc. and followed all of the story arcs, including video games, you really shouldn't be telling someone who has what can and cannot be within the STAR WARS universe...as only a Sith deals in absolutes; and c) there are many more Force sensitives other than just the Jedi and the Sith and many Jedi can use the Dark Side without tapping into fear and hate and the many teachings of the Sith.
2) I was told by a self-proclaimed Christian, as I didn't ask or care, that Halloween is fine if it is "fun" stuff, but anybody who gets too into it and dabbles in decorating with witches, ghosts, goblins, and ghouls is evil. Mmmmmmmkay! Then don't participate you close-minded idiot.
3) A large group of adults was walking down the street taking up the entire width. The kids that I was escorting around had to walk on the gravel shoulder to avoid them and I tried to politely side-step in between two of them, but one of them was walking backwards and stepped in front of me and bumped into me. She then began to tell me off in front of the kids. "Excuse you!" "Jerk!" "Blah! Blah! Blah!" As a Dark Jedi Master, I chose to take the high road and ignored her.
4) What happened to participation? It used to be pretty much everyone when I was a kid. It's for the kids. How can you not want to do nice stuff for kids?
5) Way too many teenagers going around that don't even dress up. At least my teenagers went all out on costumes and makeup. My daughter said one person told her she was too old. Whatever!
