No worries. To be fair, this wasn't the best topic to engage with someone new. Don't really care about your love life, but do try to interact with new members, and this is what you were talking about.

:P I'm one of those weird aspies that likes touch. From those she trusts, anyway. I don't trust many people.

You're not the only one liking touch on this forum. Al for example loves firm touch. And I am a touch loving aspie too. Just went to physiotherapy, and touched the therapist back, over a cup of coffee.

Yup. I am a hugger.  :)
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Yeh, I like being squeezed, and heavy duvets, and tight clothes...I think I said that here already. Not tight enough to look well, crap, or like I'm about to explode out of my clothes.

I wrap the covers around myself, and I like the lead apron I wear when getting dental X-rays.  8)

Me too! I wrap the duvet around me like a sausage roll. I think I sat up for dental x-rays, years ago. Before I had braces. Weird times.

As a child, I loved the idea of everybody being wrapped in blankets.  It seemed so cozy.
I would wrap my stuffed animals that way.  I also loved sitting under my mother's big
old-fashioned "bubble"-type hair dryer.  The warm air was very comforting.  More so than hugs.  8)

Hugs...does anyone know why some aspies can't stand touch and others love it?

I have gathered that non autistics are the same, some like hugs, others don't. It is just a people thing, I think.

I have gathered that non autistics are the same, some like hugs, others don't. It is just a people thing, I think.

I find touch mentally uncomfortable because it doesn't do anything for me and I find I have to pretend.
I dunno why that is.  Neither of my parents was naturally very demonstrative, so it could be genetic.
I'm content with my life the way it is, but I keep hearing about the supposed necessity of affectionate touch
and then I feel weird for not understanding that element of human life.  That's my experience.  :dunno:
