I have some of that brit stuff in me. Even my wife does. Her side were herders, farmers and cheese makers in the Old Country. My side were carpenters, masons and farmers.
I have grand parents with the names  "Scot" and "Moran" and "Eubanks"  ...  still waiting to see how all that comes out. We both have Williams, Wright, Smith and Jones in our ancient family histories, so my wife and I could be related. How "choice" would that be?

We both also have a huge amount of German, Dutch (on her side) and German, Italian and "Indian" [Native American to the uneducated] (on my side).

I may have some skills handed down, evidenced by my advanced gardening prowess on an in-town small lot,  but the other side of my family were musicians and I followed that influence, mostly.
