Aussie vs NZ accents.

I still have a hard time telling the two apart.

This video is obviously a Kiwi guy and I can pick out some differences with the Aussie accent but not all of them.

Can one of you Aussies help me here??

After watching this video I'm kinda bummed that these tires don't seem to be available in the US.

With the first video the only difference I can hear in his accent is in his letter i's. In the NZ accent 'i' tends to sound like 'eh' or 'uh' or somewhere in between.

I dunno I think there is differences in the Aussie accent with a bit of difference. PPK had trouble understanding me and the poor little exchange student I had a year r so ago really battled but understood my daughter perfectly pretty much.

The differences between Kiwis and Aussies is more notable than say rural and urban Australian accents.

The big one is the "uh" instead of "i" but there is also more of a twang than a drawl, if that makes sense. It is not that pronounced in most New Zealanders. For the most part it is just worth listening to if they say "sex" or "sucks" instead of "six" or whether they want to have some "fush and chups" instead of "fish and chips"

  In an ad for the TV show Cleverman, a woman tells a young man, "Time for you to step up,"
   but to my ears it sounds like "stip up."  I guess that's an Aussie vowel sound then?

Makes sense if it's like the difference between a Texas and Southern accent.

That is more of a New Zealand accent sound.
