Oxy is good stuff alright. Although I don't rate it amongst my favourite opiates, I'm not going to tell my doc to stop scripting it me. Morphine, heroin and dipropionylmorphine are probably my favourite that I've tried, as well as methadone (only had it a couple of times, but do rather like the stuff) and a DIY effort I made the other year, from opium, after cleaning it up and forming a crystalline full-spectrum alkaloid isolate, then acylating using propionyl chloride/a base to absorb the liberated HCl gas. It did cause one hell of a lot of histamine release on injecting a purified end product, presumably due to whatever small amount of codeine/propionylcodeine (a presumably unknown or little known compound) is present, but it did pack one hell of a punch, even with a hefty tolerance to opiates courtesy of my shitty fucked up knee/hip a shot containing the equivalent of a bump about match-head sized totally floored me, and like poppy pod tea, retained that stimulating and very long-lived effect it has. All in all, a quite unique opiate experience that was, although I didn't get a great quantity of opium to start with, and its REALLY sticky stuff when raw, straight from the poppy, and dried. Tacky, gooey, sticky shit before cleaning it w/solvents thats really hard to ensure it all comes off whatever container its put in, or implements that are used for scraping it off the container and into a lab flask/test tube or whatever else gets used.
Might have to do it again next year, I have LOADS of poppy seed saved from my last grow. And they aren't fussy where they get put, as long as there isn't too much rain.
I do want to try the other bigger more powerful brother of oxycodone, oxymorphone though, I've heard its quite something.
And I see no reason established methods couldn't be used to demethylate it (oxycodone that is). I just haven't got round to it yet, there isn't a massive rush when I've got all the morph and oxy sitting about, the former making a great precursor for H, dipropionylmorphine and other such fun things.
DPM as I've found, is a bit slower to come on than heroin (IV route, both) but its more potent and it lasts a lot longer, which is good, compared to the 6-ish hours H lasts.
