Last week, I stopped by an old school A&W restaurant in Oakridge.

I ordered a burger combo and without thinking forgot to tell the guy what I wanted to drink.

About 5 min later, he comes out with my combo...       ... and a 20oz frosted mug of A&W root beer!!

This is a classic piece of Americana from my childhood that I had completely forgotten about.

If you ordered your food in, your beverages were served in a frosted mug which made them taste 1000% better for some reason.

So I went to one of the local thrift stores and lo and behold! They had an A&W mug there!

I bought it and now I have rediscovered this wonderful way to consume my beverages.

I think I might have to get a couple more that way there's always a frosted mug in the freezer.

I have tried root beer once. That was enough for me.

There have always been frosted glasses and mugs in the freezer here.

Root beer is always better in a frosted mug...screw the can cozies.

Just get the heavyweight glasses or mugs, they hold up the best.

Haribo gummy bears. Bought a bag yesterday. Haven't had them since I was a kid. According to the packet, they have been around since 1922.
