   My town had a parade, of course.  Also, my mother had a sewing machine, and she made long
   calico skirts for me and my sister.  Hers was dark reds and blues, mine was pastel versions of
   those colors as I recall.  We wore the skirts to school.  We were 9 and 6.  :angel: :angel:
