The hot flashes are uncomfortable, but at least in my case, they seem to indicate hormone levels
that are unconducive to menstruation.  So if I'm flashing, I won't be bleeding for awhile.  Sweet!  8)

This very dry summer may have been bad for lawns and reservoirs, but because of it,
the cardboard I put in my windows, around my air conditioners, remains dry and
unwarped; I haven't had to change it once!  That's a bonus for a lazy person!  :2thumbsup:

It is perhaps a good thing I didn't have the lump removed from my hand today - I have the test for taking a computer apart and putting it back together tomorrow. Wouldn't have been much fun with a sore hand.

Probably. It's no fun picking apart things when your hand hurts.

I once hurt my right thumb the day before the film festival began. It was all swollen and useless, and made threading film an interesting experience for days.

Hand/digit injuries suck and are frustrating!  On the upside, the injuries make for great anecdotes!  :2thumbsup:

That deep cut on my right index finger gave me the perfect excuse to put off doing laundry, dishes,
or anything else that would interfere with the healing process.  My finger needed the night off!  :2thumbsup:

^How do you cover it? Band-aid or something thicker? Sounds like you may have needed a stitch in it or something.

My special bandages, featuring the same type of cellulose used to pack bloody noses,
nearly stopped the bleeding.  I topped them with 3-4 vinyl gloves, just to be safe.  That night at home,
I trimmed down the flap of skin the knife had made and treated the whole thing with antibiotic ointment.
Three days later, the deep cut is now just a shallow red spot, healing beautifully.  8)

I'd be glad to help you.  :)   I've been trimming flaps ever since my sister cut a finger on the
blade of the meat slicer at her first job.  It can hurt a bit, and I wouldn't attempt it with a truly deep cut,
but for little everyday cuts, flap trimming seems to make it easier to keep the would clean and speed
the healing process.  I also trim the sides of the cut wherever possible, to lower its edges.  8)

I like trimming flaps.
Don't like getting them though, so it's not a regular hobby of mine.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

Having really fat arms, as massive as mutton legs, makes my hands look tiny as a doll's.

I admit it, I fucked up with this year's medical reimbursements by waiting till the last minute.
If I'm diligent tomorrow, I'll still get my stuff sent off in time.  But now that I'm actually doing it,
it's really interesting, even fun!  And I know I'll be proactive with the expenses of the year ahead.  :viking:
