Just the fact that burger went to the lengths of actually instigating through PM says a lot about how far she is willing to go, just to "be right".

That's a question directed at you, Hyke. If "silent treatment" is the way to make this calm down, how do I practically employ this method, if it has absolutely no discernible effect? If nothing stops burger from just PMing you?

You like to come across as the victim in all this. Subject to forces he has no control in and nor complicit in anything.

What about me? What about me? I'm an Arsehole. I do not have the same pretensions. Everyone here knows that I am an Arsehole. I always have been. But they know I am honest, transparent and consistent. Everything I do I own. I am more than willing to defend myself and my actions at length and in more words than most care to read.
You like to imagine you are better? No you are rolling in the muck with me, you just like to pretend you don't enjoy it.
Moral of the story here Zegh, every action and behaviour has a reaction. You do not control that reaction. The reaction you get doesn't have to be measured, or reasonable or adhere to any boundary or you imagine it should have. If all you did was poke a bear with a stick and he mauls you to death, YOU ought not have poked him with a stick. The moment before he gets into the mauling, and let's off a roar. You do not get to say "Okay bear, that's quite enough. By my accounting I poked you and you roared and frightened me so we are by any reasonable measure even"
Take responsibility and recognise that you own your reactions however much you may dislike the form, degree or over what time they come.
