Roadside oddities

Went away this past weekend finding places to go as usual on Atlas Obscura this time it was Secret Caverns and the  Boot Monument.

Grew up in an area with a lot of big tourism attraction caves/caverns; they were good choices for entertaining out of state visitors, so have been in quite a few. They're great.

I grew up in a tourist town also, Sarasota Florida, we used to have a lot of fun sending them out into the middle of no where when when they asked for directions,  Honestly what do you expect when you ask middle school kids

  Like perps on Law And Order who give addresses that turn out to be in the middle of the Hudson River.

Upstate NY used to be full of strange stuff and tourist towns.
