Uh-oh! Sounds that mean trouble!
« on: January 23, 2016, 04:26:40 PM »
  The rustling of plastic grocery bags is my new least favorite sound, because it means
  the frickin MOUSE might be trying to nest.  I no longer use those bags as wastebasket liners;
  I now have smooth wastebasket bags made especially for that purpose.  That don't fucking rustle.  :hide:

The washing machine emitting a triple beep. Because that means it is unbalanced and I need to sort it out.

The sound of  of the cats running, either they just knocked something down or they are chasing each other and fighting

Why are the three you do not like indoor cats?

One I think has some mental issues it hates people and is rather mean except to my daughter who all cats seem to love. The second one isn't that bad but still not very nice. The third can be rather nice at times but gets very needy once you pet it it will not leave you alone and likes to get right in your face ,  it also begs for food and will jump right up and try and get at food on your plate which is why we named it Catdog.  They all eat my house plants and one or more of them like to crap and piss in odd places around the house usually about once a week

Wouldn't their behaviour get better if they could get rid of their energy outside too?

4 cats, wow. We have 2, they are allowed outside during the day. Their curfew is around 5:30 - 6pm which is dinner time for them. Liam always tries to get back outside because he loves it out there at night. We have to watch him if we go out because he is very sneaky and fast.

  Yesterday, someone in my building was singing and playing "Muskrat Love" on
  acoustic guitar.  "Muskrat Love."  Voluntarily.  That's almost as scary as the mouse noises.  :tinfoil: :laugh:

  Lately, almost any unexplained sound in the apartment makes me nervous.  I expect this will pass,
  but for now it's a pain.  And the memory of the rustling-plastic-bag sound is truly frightening to me now.  :hide:

  I hate glass because when it breaks, the tiny fragments fly everywhere.  So dangerous.
  So when I hear glass break at work  :aff:  I go into a full-body flinch like a nervous old biddy!

My washing machine doesn't even beep when the load is uneven, it just keeps going, things get violent. The sound of that is an uh-oh.

I would think they would use safety glass at the place you work.

Here in my house, most of the glasses I use regularly are made of safety glass. Stronger than other glass, and when it breaks it does not splinter the way regular glass does. And it still can be pretty.
