This country needs something to remind it what it is; just not certain what that would be.There is nothing anymore, really. All social engineering projects which have been implemented in the U.S. have been a success, starting with the minorities and ending in the present time with the middle class. The populace is now completely dependent on the whims of it's government who has been employed by corporate interests for a very long time. The only possible way the U.S. would be brought out of it's stupor is a tragedy. A flat out attack from their own government, and I doubt even that would be enough.

I am thinking of a different situation that'd make a difference. military rock up all suited up for their "drill" and a million Texas rangers and militia say "stand down and back away. No military drills in Texas. Any closer and it won't be a drill"
SAN MARCOS, Texas - Record rainfall wreaked havoc across a swath of the U.S. Midwest on Sunday, causing flash floods in normally dry riverbeds, spawning tornadoes and forcing at least 2,000 people to flee. Officials said Saturday at least one person died in the flooding in Hays County, reports CBS affiliate KEYE in Austin.About 350 homes in the town of Wimberley were washed away by flash floods along the Blanco River, which rose 26 feet in just one hour and left piles of wreckage 20 feet high, Texas authorities said.

Jack is honest in being no exception to that.
In fact, I would venture to say any other country but my own was more clued about that conflict.
