They gave me enough pain meds to knock even lestat out, but i refused half of them. they make me feel odd, which i really don't like. I am hoping the pain will decrease enough for me to skip one refill.

what would happen if ants ate the diatomaceous earth instead of getting it on their exoskeleton?

I forgot my recipe for ant bait and made this stuff but it seems to be doing a good job of killing them:
honey
peanut butter
diatomaceous earth

the first day I had plenty of customers and the bait was gone overnight. the next one had far fewer customers and it's taking a lot longer for them to eat the whole bait.

Hopefully will get this today or tomorrow. Software crashed, finally found the disc to reload yesterday.

Mower breakdowns, car breakdowns, computer breakdowns, and the arrival of a new modem have kept me busy. It always happens at once.

I used to have a quite obvious hunchback until I was about 25. Then I went to a chiropractor because I had back pain and pain pills and anti-inflammatories weren't helping. He gave me exercises to do to straighten my back.

The most effective exercise I did was to take a towel and roll it up into sausage shape and lay on the floor with it under my back horizontally where the lowest ribs are. I did this for a few minutes every night before bed. I noticed a difference almost straight away. I will most likely always have back problems but I can stand straight now and I see that as a bonus.
Been doing this since you suggested it, btw (after doing some of my own research to confirm this was appropriate, of course).  Definite noticeable difference, though it's still a work in progress.

Cool. :) I still do it every now and then when I find myself slouching.

It's odd, and sad to see Wolfish at the top of this thread. It feels really odd.

Yeah it's odd, but in happy sort of way for me.  But  seeing the date there... so recent!

I lost two close friends in the space of 3 months, earlier this year, and that  was such a big deal to me  that it seems like that was another aeon, back when they were both  still alive.  So that all feels like forever ago.  The date was a shock!

Of course losing wolfie was a much bigger thing for Pyraxis and her life has changed fundamentally, in all sorts of ways, like moving into that new house theirs on her own . We were talking,  just the other day,  about how big events like that  warp your sense of time.

But, anyway,  seeing him here same as ever,  large as life, that makes me smile.

Any tips on reducing over-exaggerated *lower* back curvature (which apparently is called lordosis)?

The Wikipedia article for lordosis says stop slouching.
Quote
Lower spine disorders occur when lumbar lordosis is excessive (lumbar hyperlordosis), minimal, or reversed into lumbar kyphosis. Lumbar hyperlordosis is commonly called hollow back or saddle back (after a similar condition that affects some horses). These conditions are usually a result of poor posture and can often be reversed by learning correct posture and using appropriate exercises.

Maybe there are also exercises for my (very slight) kyphosis as well!  :P
