Bumped.
In the end I did try mirtazapine (Avanza), it made me eat and sleep excessively. So it didn't last long.

Was on Cymbalta (duloxetine) for a few years and then the effect wore off so I switched to Edronax (reboxetine) and that too wore off. By wearing off I mean that I get depressive symptoms again. Last time was pretty bad because I got into self harming again and it started getting really awful by the time I went to hospital. I haven't done it since then though, which is kind of a record for me.

Am on moclobemide (Aurorix) now, a reversible MAOI which has been working well for me.

Have we all been here this long?

I have been having some issues with depression; had no idea feelings could feel so bad. I use a combination of gotu kola, bacopa and ashwaganda, which I had been using for adhd but then forgot about it. I tried it when the feelings got uncomfortable and it worked. I used tinctures in a base of spiced port wine. For some reason the port works too, but not as well as with the herbs. Very short acting, though - maybe 6 hours? I don't usually need it for more than a day or so. But for me once the "spell" is broken I don't need it until I get depressed again.

Glad yours are working for you.

I have never heard of what you use before, WolFish. Where do you get it from?
