Wars to happen are a must.
If wars do not happen continously, one of the most powerful industries in the world will slow down, and nobody can have that.
That is fact.
Another fact is that mighty people get their will.
Mighty people need wars to happen, mighty people will GET wars to happen.
Another fact.
Those two facts are indesputable, and to try to dispute them is idiotic. The only way to try to dispute them is to try to argue that powerful people are considerate and humane and kind, and that they would gladly see their business dwindle in the face of lasting stability in places they don't care about - places that are allready mired in war.
SO
Are specific wars, actual places, actual events, planned down to a tee? No. That is too difficult. Fuckers can't even run a country properly, how the hell can they plan actual events to happen, with unruly rapper-brats with guns travelling as mujis into mountains to shoot and fight?
BUT
They CAN encourage it.
They can encourage it directly, by arms supplies and money, or indirectly, by allowing a fostering of such mentalities.
The best current example of that is eastern Ukraine. Can anybody here insist that Russia and Putin are too humane, too considerate, too kind, to have had a direct OR indirect influence in the eruption of hostilities there?
There are Russian Cossacks fighting there, there are Russian collumns of trucks and trains entering (invading) Ukrainian soil, all while Russian officials say "noooo, you must have seen an owl or something, and mistaken it for a military collumn."
Then it's easy to go "oh, you mean THOSE guys! yes but THEY are RUSSIANS! Russians don't count as humans, countries, politics or economics DUH! IDIOT!"
but here's the kicker:
Russians DO count.
Russians give us a good insight of the possibilities of business and politics. War profiteering, and politics. Not saying Putin came and PUT a war in Ukraine, but it is known fact that Kremlin is active on the internet, active in the streets, in all of Eastern Europe, creating opinions and groups to agree with those opinions, using the same tactics that neo-nazi groups use as well, why? Cus they can. Cus it's not "beneath" them to do so, because it is efficient, and it works.
To assume that powerful humans will not use tools that are efficient to them, is very naive.
Now, from there on - the rest becomes speculation, because none of them are admitting a damn thing.
But there is no way, NO. WAY. That anybody can claim that Putin is sad over what happens in Ukraine, and feels sorry for the people suffering, and that he wishes they could all just hug and make up. He, and his Kremlin chums, will do everything they can to make this last. We made Afghanistan last, in fact, we're still there, and I remember on-ground officials saying the words "we have long since lost" allready 2 years ago.
As long as clever, super-expensive missiles make their way there, we're gonna make it count.
