Motorcycle Saftey Classes

I'm having to take them to get my motorcycle license here in Oregon.

So far it's largely been been a waste of $200, the only thing new I learned is that I don't turn my head far enough in turns.  ::)

However, I did get a chance to ride a Suzuki TU250X which is a bike that I've wanted to try out for several years now. (they aren't available in Cali due to smog restrictions).

Safety is another one of those words that people have trouble spelling.

Nice bike. I would never get my bike licence as my legs are too short to ride one!

They make bikes for short people too. I got a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 for a former GF who was 5'3" and she could get both of her feet on the ground.

  Are you short in general, or just proportionally short in the legs?  I like to notice whether people are
  long in the torso/short in the legs like Aaron Paul, or short-waisted and long-legged like Bryan Cranston.  :laugh:

I am just short in general. Though recently I bought a pair of regular length pants and they're almost too short!

You should see Kayleigh. Her arms and legs are shorter than mine, yet she is taller than me. When she sits down, she is taller than almost everyone. Then she stands up and her height barely changes!

  Proportions are really interesting.  You sound like me ... I am only 5'2", but the "petite" pants
  scaled for short people are sometimes too short in the legs for me.  One of my friends is 5'7"ish and
  more of her height is in her torso than in her legs.  And then there was the cab driver I used to see
  mostly sitting behind the wheel of his cab ... I figured he was fairly short, but then I ran into him
  walking around the supermarket, and he was unexpectedly over 6', long in the legs.  :nerd!:

Did you have a motorcycle endorsement on your  license in California? If so I would think they would waive the classes or is Oregon just a pain in the ass like that

No, I just kept getting 1 year learners permits.

I was trying to avoid the motorcycle class scam but apparently there's no way around it, in any state.
