I like how Panic! at the disco responded to threats of a WBC protest at a recent concert- they said they'd donate $20 to HRC for every picketer that showed up.  With things like this, it could be done kinda like marathon fundraisers; people pledge to give ___ amount to charity for every WBC member that pickets ___ event.

That sounds like a great idea, but how would it work at funerals?

I suppose that you could donate money to a charity depending on the death, like say if someone died of cancer then someone could donate so much money to a cancer charity for every member of the WBC there. In Robin William's case, it could be a mental health charity seeing how he had depression.

What a grand idea!  Robin Williams supported a number of charities and non-profits.  I think I'll send a donation to St. Jude's if WBC does show up.  And I will say that the donation is because of WBC.

I do think the proper way to handle them is to organise a charity with a dollar given to gay rights movements for every WBC member that shows up at the funeral.
