The Icequeen is going to the beach

Ocean City to be exact...on the 12th. For about 3 days. The motel room is already reserved.

Part of me is excited...the other part is slowly freaking the fuck out considering the farthest destination I've traveled to in the last 15+ years has been 20 - 30 some miles to Pittsburgh.

Any nearby hurricanes should arrive at the beach on the 13th I'm figuring...something is bound to fuck this up.

Staying in Easton MD tonight, decided to head out early...good thing actually, long drive for us wussies.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge was totally awesome, unfortunately no pics from the car as the kid and SO were really a bit freaked out, I wasn't as freaked  as I thought I might be...actually found it pretty amazing.

It used to be a single bridge-tunnel and only two lanes, one each way with no division other than painted yellow lines.

That sounds scary...a lot of traffic going through there.

Before the storm hit and I got drenched. 

Hit the beach for awhile with the detector...going out tomorrow. So far I am .26 richer and the proud owner of a ton of bottle caps.

Beautiful, busy day...spent time at the beach, took in the boardwalk, and toured Ripley's museum. I am beat...will upload more when I get a chance.





Although I'm not religious...found these cool as hell.

COOLNESS. I wish I was at the beach...I would like to walk along the shore, and then storm in the ocean, only to doggy paddle back to shore, and perhaps wait for a windy day to be over-taken by a tidal wave

Arrived home yesterday around 3:00...too tired to do much of anything.

Spent today cutting grass.  Miss the beach.
