Well, didn't realise there was a term for it...but here you go:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_sensory_meridian_responseAutonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli.
Other attempts to describe the sensation refer to it as a "brain massage", "head tingle", "brain tingle", "spine tingle", and "brain orgasm".
I dunno about describing it as an orgasm per se...but its tingling, goosebumps in a good way. I used to put my head down in class and listen to people shuffling around because it was soothing...and since I was little I sometimes stroke my belly to get a tingling feeling. hehe...purely innocent.
ANYWAYS, a few years back when I was at work I started to google some noises on youtube (to help me focus and stay awake) and found out there are a lot of different videos of sounds like whispering, typing, drawing, etc.... so I figured it was common and quite normal.
And now I see there is a term for is, ASMR, and I guess its not altogether normal and scientists have yet to study it.
Well it IS real. No doubt about it. Its just soothing shit...like stimming.
