Orlando Bloom reportedly tried to punch Justin Bieber in Spain


Canadian pop star-cum international bad boy Justin Bieber has got the gossip-sphere abuzz once again this week after reportedly getting into a scuffle with actor Orlando Bloom.

Footage obtained by TMZ appears to show Bloom, 37, and Bieber, 20, coming face to face while partying at Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza, Spain early Wednesday morning.

Eyewitnesses told the celebrity gossip website that Bloom took a swing at Bieber during their altercation, and that Bieber left the restaurant shortly thereafter, prompting a round of applause from the crowd — which included Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Diddy.

"You can see Bloom deliver a right hand shove to Bieber's face, though Bieber's bodyguard appears to deflect the brunt of the blow," wrote TMZ of the video it published on July 29. "We're told Justin ducked the punch. That's where the video starts and you hear Justin scream, 'What's up b*tch?'"



Tensions have reportedly been running high between Bieber and Bloom since 2012, when the singer was spotted getting chummy (or as many have reported it, "flirty") with Bloom's then-wife Miranda Kerr at a 2012 Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York City.

US Weekly reports that the incident may have lead to marital problems between Bloom and Kerr, who went on to separate in 2013.

Further fueling the fire, Bloom has been spotted on multiple occasions with Bieber's on-again-off-again ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, 22.



According to the New York Post's Page Six, the altercation took place when Bieber and his entourage — who had been seated away from the English actor— walked past Bloom's table.

"Justin was at one table, and Orlando was at another," an eye witness told Page Six. "But when Bieber and his party were later walking past Bloom’s table, Orlando refused to shake Bieber’s hand."

It was then that the men reportedly exchanged words.

"Bieber said something rude to Orlando, like 'she was good'" said the witness to Page Six, potentially alluding to Bloom's ex-wife.

One witness captured approximately 30 seconds of the confrontation on video before Bloom took a swing and posted it to Facebook. It was promptly ripped and uploaded by dozens of different YouTube accounts.



While a source "close to Bieber" alleged to Page Six that "Justin didn’t even know Orlando was there" and that "when they saw each other, it was Orlando who was just being an a-hole to Justin,” a saucy Instagram snap uploaded by Bieber following the incident has many around the web thinking the altercation was, in fact, provoked by Bieber's comments about Kerr.

Shortly after the video above surfaced online, Bieber Instagrammed a photo of the Australian supermodel in a bathing suit with a crown emoji as its caption. He later deleted the image.



Bloom has yet to respond to the incident publicly, but Bieber posted the following message on Twitter after the videos leaked:
