But the daylight saving happens in summer, when you have an abundance of light already. It's not like those hours of sun can be saved up for later.

I'd like it if we got rid of the daylight saving stuff. The change from summer to winter time-setting I find it less hard than going from winter to summer time-setting.

It's a debatable topic if daylight savings actually conserves energy because while national government specialists make projections that it does, some lower level local government studies indicate is doesn't conserve or even costs more. Though other studies indicate messing with people body clocks and sleep schedules is where the real expense might fall, with higher rates of heart attack, suicide, vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and a general decline of productivity in workplace and school during the first couple of weeks during adjustment.

And then there are those reports telling people are more healthy if they start the productivity of the day a bit later. Mainly those articles focus on teens, but not only on teens any more.
