Have you seen them?





It's what the kids are doing, man.  :zoinks:

I first noticed them a few weeks ago and in that time i have seen the craze sweep the nation.  Everywhere i look i see kids making them, wearing them or swapping them. :headhurts:

The boy came home from school covered in them.  They are hanging everywhere in the house.  They are for sale in almost every shop - even the fucking post office!

If you have not seen them yet -  keep your peepers wide cus they are coming.

A harmless activity you might think,  but that is what they want you to think.  We will soon have a generation of nimble fingered teens  :o  OMG what is the big plan?   :zoinks:



I confess I am wearing one in pink, lilac and purple shades  -  but only because i didn't want to offend the urchin! honest.

Oh yes, they are everywhere. My bakery is not selling them, but that is about it, I think.

About a month ago, it was just kids wearing the thingies, now big sturdy men wear them too.

It's rubber, so, if you wear it outside, it won't last long. It disintegrates under the influence of sunlight. Last week I met a couple of hikers in the train, wearing bracelets and ankle bands, made by a little niece. They told wear and tear was visible in a day, and the thing would break irreparably within a week. So, go hiking with the Urchin, and show how rubber magically vanishes.

I have not seen 'wear and tear' ones yet!  It could be part of the plan  -  they wear out quickly so guess what?  they will need to make more, and with double or even triple layers!   :zoinks:

Yes big sturdy macho men don them with pride!

The urchins dad is driving through Scotland in his big articulated lorry,  shaved head, tattoo's ...  and a double layer rainbow one on each wrist!   :o

It starts with rubber bands, then, apparently you can get little plastic thingies to decorate the armbands with, and then.... very revolutionary and new, you can use beads in your decorations.







My daughter made a bracelet yesterday. Not with rubber-bands though. Scrap, keyrings, chains, and such. She never did well on pre-fab creativity.
