I did not wish to be left alone, because also when I had done anything that was considered not acceptable, I was ignored and my brother got all the attention instead, haha. But at the same time, one of my parents was very controlling to a point where I was not really allowed to wear what I was comfortable with, without getting a lot of icy glares and words spoken about me, in front of me. It can make you feel a bit guilty if there was good stuff too in there, but the bad has left too much damage to be able to simply blank it out eh. I always liked that poem by Philip Larkin ...

Yep, I know that poem by heart. At least 50% of all British aspies do, I reckon. even the ones who don't like poetry. That and Jabberwocky. You want to hear a bunch of Aspies reciting in unison, pick one of those. Go figure...
