I'm kindov joking, as I find the fanaticism around "spoilers" a bit too much. Some reactions to spoilers are comical "YOUVE RUINED IT FOR ME!!!" ruined what? That the hero wins, that justice is done, that evil is not allowed to prevail?
"YES THAT! RUINED!!! D:"
Was randomly exposed to an unwanted and unsought spoiler to the movie, The Others, before seeing it. That sort of sucked.
I agree that in some cases spoilers will ruin the surprise, but only when the surprise is genuine - which is rare in most movies today
GoT is probably among those where who-will-die-next is genuinely difficult to guess, so being told beforehand sortof sucks
But the vast majority of movies and series are quite predictable.
