A large stick would be more useful, and it could also be sharpened. Aim for the eyes.

That's true, though would have to imagine the average person isn't going to de-stabify their own kitchen knives, because they don't view themselves as the stabby type and feel they can be trusted not to turn stabby. For that to happen, it would have to be declared the general public can't be trusted with stabby knives and make it illegal for them to have one, hence making anyone owning a stabby knife a criminal.

That's true, though would have to imagine the average person isn't going to de-stabify their own kitchen knives, because they don't view themselves as the stabby type and feel they can be trusted not to turn stabby. For that to happen, it would have to be declared the general public can't be trusted with stabby knives and make it illegal for them to have one, hence making anyone owning a stabby knife a criminal.

It would be easy to grind a point onto a knife, or make a new knife from scratch.
