Argued with a cyclist who had followed me all the way home because I had dared to honk at him. Poor thing.

I always honk at cyclists when I approach from behind them. It is for their own safety that I make them aware that I am about to "run them over" for obstructing legitimate traffic; traffic which actually pays with taxes to build and maintain the streets those cyclists THINK they own.

I know, the great majority of cyclists also drive cars, but then, let me insist that while these cyclist, who assume they have a legitimate right to use our streets ALSO follow traffic laws while they are riding and obstructing the lanes they supposedly shared in paying for.

How many times have you seen a cyclist go ripping through a stop light with no regard for the law? I often honk at those guys, too.
 :police:

It is my experience that many cyclists follow traffic laws rather selectively.

So do motorists. :icequeen:

Keen cyclist, are you? :zoinks:

Things are dull, and I see a flaw in DD's logic, unless he claims to follow all traffic laws all of the time.

You are kidding, right?

Of course I follow ALL traffic laws at all times. Why would one NOT?!?

OH!
... and it does not matter if I am on my bike or driving my car; I make a point to follow the laws for my own safety.

Spent several hours trying to clone a hard drive to a new SSD. It didn't go well. Now trying to do it again.

Sounds fairly straightforward, but there must be more to it than meets the eye.

Yesterday, I took my old snow blower to the recycle center.  I tried to revive it, but this past winter did it in for good.

The disk is a dual-boot Windows/Linux disk, with NTFS and ext3 partitions mixed. Apparently the cloning software has trouble with the partition table.

Yesterday I baked a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies at work.  They apparently turned out well.  :green:

Did some laundry. Fed me and the son--the rest of the family was otherwise occupied. Tinkered with my work laptop.

I did some mundane bullshit that keeps a roof over my head and fatty food in the freezer.  :P

Was part of a group phone call to do with the ADHD workshop I went to a month ago. This call was nervewracking and after it was over I went back to bed.

Appointment with a new contact from "work and income". She was cool.

Helped youngest fix a spinning wheel she is borrowing from school.

The two of us sat spinning after that, in the afternoon in the garden.

Went with a friend shopping and lunch. Then took her to her endocrinologist appointment where she was told that the lump in her neck would have to be removed along with one thyroid gland. She is not too happy as she has cancer on her mind even though it is only a 20% chance that it could be that.
