Never trust a ball on a hill.....

:facepalm2: Some time last year I made a penny ball...basically a bowling ball, with a ton of pennies cemented to it. I posted a picture of it somewhere.

I also had a stand for it to set on...like a gazing ball...redneck yard art :zoinks:.

Set it in the yard, didn't like it where it was, took it off the stand to move it.
I set it on the level area at the top of the yard.
Not level enough obviously.
Ball took off like a shot, rolled down the hill, just missed nailing the contractors truck in the door by about 2 minutes as he left the neighbors house, hit the railroad ties at the bottom of the hill, went airborn, and is now somewhere buried in the weeds below the septic tank.

I should be able to find it after the frost this fall...if I'm lucky.

Pity you don't have footage. It would have gone viral.

Learned about the existence of grasshopper nematodes today.

Saw one moving about on one of my hydrangeas and wanted to know what kind of critter it was. It looked like a parasite, and I was a bit weary, I admit.
Googled for long thin white worm, and lo and behold, there she was described. Cool to watch.

Funny how my gut reaction was "creepy, parasite". Would that be an evolutionary given with lots of people?

Where a badge from a car dating from 1956 came from.  I'd post the picture, but, it's too large according to the smf thing that keeps popping up.   :-\

You'll have to downsize it a bit.

I forget...dammit!
Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems
