And it isn't your fuckup, its the NTs not being able to read us correctly.

Trust me, lots of misunderstanding going on between non NT's too. I do live in a dominantly aspie family. And in the family I came from, both spectrumites and non spectrumites have a sense of humour, when it comes to misunderstanding. That helps a lot.
