BUt, WTF!!
Wish we could slam a few pints together just for the fuck of it all, stumble our way home, wake up the all neighbors, singing songs about "FUCK IT ALL!" on the way in and snore it off for a few hours or so, then get up still hung over and start a fire to (we call it barbeque) smoke the neighborhood up with our next manly MEAT meal.
Birthday? Fuck it! We would not need a reason!

It's since I have kids, that I take BD's more serious. Before that, I gave people presents if I felt like it, on the day I liked to give it to them. Not because of their BD. And avoided my own BD too.
Getting back to that a bit I think. Looks like my oldest is giving up on the special day of a BD soon.
My youngest though, she is cute, and plans for BD gifts months and months ahead. Very elaborate girl. She does make BD's a bit special, because of all she does for the one turning older in numbers.
