You're going to Texas? :oldman:

Yes, all 1597 mile round trip of it, New Orleans to Houston area to past Dallas and home.

I must be getting old.  I realized that I wrote about our Texas trip (and some other topics) several times.  Sorry if I bored anyone.

Well, I have not seen that thread, so I am intrigued.

What part of Texas did you visit?

I'll betcha I have been there ---

--- lol.

I was a traveling musician in my youth. Texas was only the first place (my birth place) we explored.

I do remember Louisiana as basically having "no" laws, however. I loved LA!

Apologies, though are not needed and most especially NOT recommended in Texas.

I drove the PR and myself to Navasota TX, about an hour north and slightly west of Houston.  We stayed in a nice motel and visited my sister.  We shopped in College Station (home of Texas A&M football.)  The next day we took my sister to Houston for a doctor's visit. and a tiny bit more shopping.

On Thursday we travelled from Houston past Dallas to Dennison TX, which is near the Oklahoma state line.  We spent Thursday evening through Saturday with a very dear friend.

My sister lives in the toenails of the foothills. There seems to be one restaurant for every 3 residents of Houston.

Driving is fun, though, if the car is OK and the roads good.

And if you are the only one in the car.

Yes, we did have TUUUNEs.  Unfortunately they were of the tween genre (think One Direction, but not them.)

It was 2 CDs.  One by R5 (a sibling group) and some single female singer.  Yep, there is a special place reserved in heaven for me.
