The most interesting thing I have heard today
« on: November 30, 2013, 03:05:19 AM »
Was. and yes, it involves death. So here goes

When you sleep, and wake up you forget all about the dream (if you had one and continue your day) ever forgetting you had a dream

However real it may be.

Dying is a continuation of being and so non being. is waking up

This goes well with my Daoist philosophy

In another words, When you dream and wake up you forget all about your dream you had and continue on in your real life.

in Dying, you wake up and forget all about being alive and forget all about being so.

your thoughts?

Don't know what happens when dead; so don't think much about it. No thoughts. Welcome back, Jesse.

I don't believe there is any kind of life after death.  If I am wrong, then I will not be too surprised either.

Some people think too much into this,  so much so it affects their life.  My friend Clare often says "oh well in my next life I will be so and so"  kind of like an excuse for being wreckless.   Crazy.
blah blah blah

I'm not afraid to die, I just don't want to be there when it happens.

I think you'd fit in a 12" or at least a 16" firework mortar
You win this thread because that's most unsettling to even think about.

Pretty sure even if I had, he would not be able to definitively answer the question of what dying will be like when I experience it.

Helluva time to pick an out-of-body experience.

We, humans, always knew what happens when you die.
We see it with bugs, chickens, fish, trees, flowers, pigs, enemy-humans, all the time.

What happens when you die: Nothing. Depends on culture. You get eaten, cremated or buried.

That's it.
Human cultures incessant delusional "quest to find out WHAT ELSE happens" is a discussion for behavioral psychologists.
