It will probably keep doing the same thing since it was doing it regularly before the drivers were installed.

My theory is that it can't handle working hard. It just overheats way too fast. Its fans are inadequate. Plus I live in a very warm climate which doesn't help.

You could change your power settings (if it's a laptop) to maximize cooling. Have you cleaned it recently?

Yeah, I know. Summer is coming! It has already been hot for a few days.
Changing power settings (it is a laptop) will see about doing when I restart the computer because I have to go into BIOS to modify the fan settings. What do you mean about cleaning? Physically? Because my computer is pretty clean (I rarely eat or drink when I am using it). Or do you mean a type of software?

Physically. Laptops have to be cleaned every so often (once every few months). If your laptop is overheating, the first thing that you should do is clean it. Look up instructions online for your particular laptop (or use a paper manual); print these instructions off. You'll probably need a source of compressed air, and perhaps a small screwdriver and a dry cloth.

Not fan settings. Lots of other stuff though.

I will have to give cleaning my computer ago once the next few weeks are over, stressful events will be happening for me.

If you want to reduce temperature and don't really need to do very CPU intensive tasks, disable Intel Turboboost in the BIOS. From my experience it reduces CPU temperature by 10-15C but at the cost of significantly reduced CPU speed. Had to do that with my laptop considering I was reaching up to 90C while gaming (after disabling it, it dropped to 78C-82C at most). Most games seem to do fine without needing the extra speed turboboost provides (The Sims 3 however will suffer performance loss as it's very CPU intensive).

A not-as-technical way to "disable" Turboboost for testing purpose is to simply set the Maximum Processor State to 99% in Windows current power plan by Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings.
