Here's my helpful hint. Your computer contains useless programs called "browsers". You could de-hoard your hard drive by deleting them. :tard:

Don't you want to extend your de-hoarding to your computer?

I use ccleaner, mbam, hijack this, and others.

Hiren's boot cd is a nice geek tool...with a whole host of goodies.

I don't recommend the last two unless you know what you're doing with them.

Hiren's boot CD is quite handy indeed. Everything else though is common knowledge for even the semi computer literate.

However, what most people need is common fucking sense. That prevents 99% of computer problems!

The problem with common sense is that it's not very common.

Viruses are almost always brought on yourself.

I always eyeroll at my dad, when he tries to feign ignorance, "I swear, I only read El Pais - but I get SO many viruses!"
"Yeah, sure dad -.-"
"Maybe it's the girls! Yeah! They're all over strange and dangerous websites!"
"Yes, youtube and nrk.no*"
"Yes yes that's it!"

(equivalent to bbc... )

My dad knows that I watch porn a lot and rants about it sometimes. Despite that I never got a virus from watching porn since I know what sites to avoid and use NoScript on most "safe" porn sites as well.

My dad on the other hand has gotten a nasty virus at least twice. Of course he didn't watch porn when getting it  ::)

He was probably browsing svt.se like a good, upstanding citizen!

oh gosh I got this funny idea...a virus from porn is like an STD only one can remove it unlike a real life one...yea my brain is a bit funny like that drawing odd parallels
