No, It's between the Fallon and Winnemucca areas.

Most of the gold and silver mines are at the base of mountian ranges formed by normal faulting.

Most gold and silver deposits in the area are formed by an interaction of magma, water and quartz pushing up though the faults and depositing trace amounts of gold and silver over the course of millions of years.

Ok, but, they did find an enormous super volcano site in Nevada recently.  It's extinct fortunately, but, there may be more around the state.  Very intriguing!  I'd love to go rock hounding thru Nevada some day!
