Once the Communist regime in Beijing are gotten rid of, an democratic China is just as likely to be a strong US ally.

Last I checked, the people in charge of China hadn't made plans for any such turnover any time soon. Whether naughty or nice, when China does something, waste no pity on the fool who stands in her way.
