Coffee question

Just how big is a cup of coffee the answers are all over the place most of them seem very small to me?  When I get one when I am out in the morning they are 20oz which I consider about right but it would be over three cups if I went by the 6oz standard I see thrown around a lot.  Another question is who only has 6oz cups of it? I generally have one or two small cups about the 6oz size at home them at least one 20oz one on my way to work

  The cups I use, at home and also at work, hold 8 oz or so.  I have one cup at home in the morning ( very strong! )
  and one or two cups at work, so I drink 16-24 ounces a day.  I used to drink 9 cups a day! and then I started getting
  palpitations!    and my doctor stuck electrodes all over me! and did an EKG! which was normal! but she said to cut down!

I have about three to four large mugs of coffee a morning. I wouldn't call them cups because, well. they are pretty big
Intrestingly enough, I can't find coffee cups that are small anymore. there all oversized

I lucked in finding a coffee cup that holds 8 ounces.  Ever since I've been using it for my tea and coffee I find I'm eating less (go figure).  Even though it doesn't have a lid the coffee doesn't get cold, probably because it doesn't take me that long to finish it.

Eight ounces sounds reasonable.  After all portion sizes have been increasing for the last 60 or so years.  Coke originally was 6 ounces in the bottle.

In Europe a standard coffee cup is 150ml. There are smaller cups for espresso and mocca, bigger cappucchino glasses, mugs, etc, but an ordinary cup for ordinary coffee is 150ml.

I measured with water, don't want to risk spilling it.

10 to 12 oz.  My coffee maker has a 1 and 2 cup setting, I always use the 2 cup for my favorite mugs, 1 cup is about half a cup...which works out extremely well for the MIL who would always want a fresh 1/2 cup of coffee from my old min 3 cup machine.
