Ah, yes. We have a road nearby that fell into literal disrepair four years ago and was closed off. The powers that be have been slow to say the least. There's been occasional activity to measure the damage - basically, part of the supporting structure of that road collapsed into the river next to it - but no real action. They blame the unique wildlife, the seasons, anything, while walkers and cyclists continue to use the stretch.
Thinking I have mentioned this before, but FFS, the Empire State Building was erected in just over a year. This is not difficult. It's not rocket science.
