Bird noises, and a distant aircraft.

Dunno, I'm on a train.

Outside the train, everything seems quiet.

Distant thunder, heavy rain with wind...nothing substantial.   ::)

They're putting a new roof on my condo complex.
That must be noisy. Is it inconvenient for you?

It's made a mess of the parking lot because most units have parking spots in front of the unit. They can't use those spots while the roofing and painting are going on so all available guest parking is being used up by tenants. If it wasn't for the fact that 1/3 of my complex is Chinese flight students who don't have cars, the problem would be worse.

Heavy rain. Not actually cold, temperature has been above 10 celsius, but it feels cold.

In the typical springtime pattern, it got up to 85 deg today and that heat triggered a thunderstorm.

The roofers are still out on the tops of the roofs working with lightning and thunder all around them.

Stupid fucking reetards!!

Dogs bark all day and all night. Neighbors are selfish pricks.
Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems

We still get sulphur-crested cockatoos coming around hoping for stale bread. Even though we stopped feeding them about a year ago.

They sit outside the kitchen window and tap the glass with their beaks.

We still feed the rainbow lorikeets though. It's the cockatoos you're not supposed to feed as they do so much damage to houses and gardens, pretty much anything they can get their beaks into.

Here the 28s can make a hell of a noise. But what you said about cockatoo applies here as well.

The grass grows.  I live on a quietish cul-de-sac.

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?
