What happens outside where you live?

There was a robin in the garden. And I hear faint traffic sounds from the highway. The wind blows the sounds here today.

There's a gaggle of teen girls outside somewhere being loud and obnoxious.

  People tend to set off fireworks, randomly, when it's not even a holiday.

No snow here today. But, cat did lick through a sheet of ice, before he could get water from his favourite bit of water outside.

  My pothead downstairs neighbor is moving out.  I found this out when I returned home
  one night last week to find a big truck parked on the front lawn and the front door off its
  hinges and leaning against the front porch to facilitate the removal of large items from
  the apartment.  He's still here, though.  I still smell weed.

The baseball season has started.  The local team is playing their first Friday home game.  The fireworks are shooting off.

My street is very busy during the day because it's one of the ways to get to the north side of town and the shopping centre just down the road. There's a mini industrial area of sorts in the adjacent street with the town's bus depot (school buses coming in and out every morning and afternoon), as well as a popular mechanic across the road. There's usually cars parked on either side of my driveway every morning. There's also a pub over my back fence, and sometimes on the weekends there's loud people leaving the establishment and walking past the fence, about 5m from my kitchen window. We get hoons up and down here sometimes.

Hoons, I had to look that one up  for expanding my vocabulary One of my son's good friend has hoon as his nickname I will have to tell him not to use it if he ever goes to Australia.  I have some hoon types that live at the end of my street though not old enough to drive yet

Someone down the street is having work done on their house I can hear the saws

There is a sign on the main road near here that reads "Police Targeting..." and underneath is an interchangeable piece of sign that reads "Drunk Drivers" or "Seatbelts", etc. Right now, they have "Hoon Driving" up there.
