I can hear church bells and the next door neighbours being loud as usual.

At least the trolls will stay away.

Yep! And because the weather is so bad today, neighbours are inside, it is peaceful outside, awesome. :)

A train just passed by.

I might say, "Nice," except that not far away from us is a locomotive museum that offers "joy rides" during decent weather all year long.

I suppose I should take solace in the fact that they have about fifteen fairly cool antique engines and one never knows what is coming down the track until they blast the horn. I know all the horns by heart and each one's tone is different.

We get a lot of trains going by about two blocks away. Cool at times, but not so cool after midnight or so.

bats feed on bugs near dusk.

and the light shines through my living room window iluminating the forrest all night long.

and that wasnt even sarcasm.

I could hear the distinctive horn sounds from my hotel in Bethesda in August. They were the exact sounds I'd learned to recognise from countless American TV shows and films. Quite cool, actually, a bit like being transported into those shows and films.

Ours don't sound like that and the locomotives here seldom have diesel engines.

Um, the new neighbours, who bought the house across the street from where I reside, are making quite a bit of noise doing all sorts of jobs making that house their home. Think they have demolished the old kitchen and bathroom already. The 'left-over' rubble is in a big container outside, now.

You should have words with the parents who gave those kids whistles. :M

Ceilidh and I are in Unit 1 (there are four units in total) and Unit 3's inhabitants are supposed to be evicted any day now. I will be grateful when they are gone as they invite all sorts of dodgy people over and they usually congregate in the carport where my car is.
