It's Quiet... Too Quiet  I wonder what evil is lurking out there :zoinks:

They have almost completed this new park along the river. I am holding off visiting it until it is finished.
Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

What was there before?  At the end of my street is Silver Sands State Park  which was a garbage dump and beach houses at one time and watching the transformation over the years has been very interesting

I think I was just an unsightly fenced off limbo between the road and the river (where people decades ago may have tried to live, but it kept flooding so no one was allowed to build there)...now they have this really cool long river walk park with lots of greenspace, and awesome new playgrounds and swing-benches for kids and adults. :)

They are also adding a boat dock to it.

That looks nice :)  The park by me had years when it was sorta post apocalyptic with half washed away streets and bits of foundation walls sticking out of the beach and various ruins out on the island,  some of it's still there if you know where to look

Odd lawn work machines in the distance!

It's raining, so nobody's outside.

The birds are singing,  it's been unusually quiet around here lately

Construction on two sides (one with asphalt fumes), two autobody mechanics on another side and squealing freight trains in the background. So when it's in the high 20s with 80% humidity I have to keep the windows closed

I love that smell and always roll down my windows when I pass areas where they are fixing the roads :green:
