This is just more AFN drama, for those of you who don't care.

Apparently, using Tor on AFN is a bannable offense. I realize that I'm not really banned; even though I can't post in any thread, I can't use the PM system and most of the forums are hidden. I can still see the Technology section.

Up until now, I was a contributing member of the site. Perhaps things have been a bit rough for me going back to heavy forum moderation, but I've been trying to help rebuild the AFF community.

I read your posts about comment spammers in the other thread. Of course, you don't really think I'm a comment spammer. So:

• I don't appreciate you derailing a debate I'm involved in with unrelated personal attacks against me.
• I use Tor on your site because I don't trust you. However, I'm still willing to contribute to the community.
• If you don't want me on your site, why did you invite me?
• If you think I'm a threat to the site, why not ban me altogether? Did you just not want that telling strikethrough in my username?
• Before you changed my permissions, did you post any rules anywhere prohibiting the use of proxies?
• Are you limiting the permissions of everyone who uses Tor?
• If this has nothing to do with Tor, then why am I banned?

No, I haven't seen the rule, if one even exists. You have no posted list of rules (or you didn't when I could still see your site), and you didn't have a rule against proxies before you used the "rule" to ban me.

Why not answer the rest of the points in the OP?

Alright. Let's go through this point by point.

I don't think I'll get an answer here, so I'll just leave this in case you want to disagree. It's a tangent anyways.

This is the sticking point in your argument. You left me with enough access to read two publicly viewable subforums. If you truly thought I was a threat, you would ban me altogether or IP ban individual proxies. At the very least, you would install a spam filter. Instead, you took one account and modified the permissions just enough to effectively ban me without putting a strikethrough in my username.

Am I the only one on the site using a proxy? Have you banned everyone else who uses one?

And, going under the assumption that you're not an idiot, I'll point out that those blacklists exist because of spammers who create accounts, post commercial links all over the forum and leave. You may not like me, but you've seen me contribute to AFF and I2 and you know that I'm not a comment spammer.
