Maybe that's why she hopes it was aliens. :viking:

There are too damn many humans on the planet anyway.

Seriously though, I think we have to get to the aliens before they get to us. Judging by the history of different human cultures, it always always sucks to be the less advanced people during a period of major cultural clash. If we can just manage interstellar flight, and get some exploring done before stumbling on less advanced life on other worlds, I think we might be alright.

Just look at the second picture of the lot; the one heavily blue colored.

Obviously a huge space- flea shitting a human head it just nipped off and sucked the brains out of its cat host.

How would we destroy them if they're like a billion years ahead of us though. They'd probably just giggle at us.

I'd go with biological warfare to be honest, most probably in the case of an alien invasion.  Set up international agency to fight and research, aiming to capture live specimens and of course drag back some corpses for research. Brew up and test bioagents on specimens after interrogating, if needs be torturing for information, then engineer escape opportunities for infected carriers, allowing them to return back to their crew, and hope like hell it spreads and wipes them out.

Well against what would most certainly be extremely advanced technology compared to ours just to allow them to come here in the first place, I'd imagine their craft to be superior enough that our weapons wouldn't stand a chance.

Making the only way either to get some pairs of boots ON one whilst its about whatever its about. Or use the creatures themselves against them. THEY wouldn't, I'd think be too difficult to squish individually, but do that and the opportunity is lost.

Just simple tactical logic. Why fight a nasty, drawn out campaign when you can use the people your fighting to do it for you, and wipe them out en masse with a plague. With man fighting man that is one thing, but in a global war for the survival of the human species itself there could never be room for doubt, mercy, ethics or moral limits, biological, chemical, tactical nuclear weapons, anything and everything we have as a race could, and if it would bring a tactical advantage or victory SHOULD be used, even if it were to mean kidnapping, torturing and/or killing their children.

Just ate some chilli actually, but hey.

Although it cannot be said, that my old man does it to my liking, not even close. I don't DISlike it, but its more stew than chilli...and it lacks the proper mushrooms and spices. (although when I cook one, in some cases they ARE the spices, he turns his nose up at using such unorthodox ingredients as I do in mine however)

And I didn't start the whole alien invasion thing (btw i LOVE that movie series, Geiger really did an impressive job designing the title creatures I think), in a realistic 'invasion' though from outer space, its how it would end up, if we ever even saw it happen, I think it more likely if it did, that we would just be wiped out from orbit.
